For the first time in state history, Utah will host an IFPA State Championship Series event. The Utah SCS will take place on February 11, 2017 at noon. and the top 16 players from 2016 (based on IFPA WPPR points) will be facing off to determine Utah’s top player and who will be eligible to attend the IFPA National Championship as the representative for the state of Utah. The Utah SCS will be held at Blake’s home, and qualified players will be notified of the address along with the game list as soon as rankings are finalized for 2016.
Official rules for the State Championship Series can be found on the IFPA website, here: https://www.ifpapinball.com/scs/
For all who plan to attend the event to spectate and to enjoy open play pinball on games not set aside for the SCS tournament, we’ll provide details on location via email. Make sure to contact a SLAP league member to be included on our mailing list.
For those who are interested in qualifying for next year’s SCS, attending SLAP League events is a great way to learn about the process while earning IFPA WPPR points at the same time. Utah has no more IFPA events for 2016, but events that will figure into 2017’s qualifying will begin in January.
